The Readingpen^® Oxford is a fully portable, self contained, assistive reading device that is designed to provide people with learning disabilities or reading difficulties (such as dyslexia), with immediate word support when they are reading printed text and help them read and understand independently.

The Readingpen^® Oxford contains the Concise Oxford English Dictionary, allowing it to recognize 250,000 words, making it the ideal device for users who are reading UK English texts, and want the UK English defintions and word coverage.

Used just like a yellow highlighter, the Readingpen^® Oxford :

• Scans a single word or line of text (6-22 pt, bold, italic, underlined or inverted text)
• Speaks and spells aloud words, lines of texts and definitions using British Real Speak
• Displays dictionary definitions, and syllabication of words
• Words can be highlighted on the screen as they are spoken for easy following
• Adjustable for right or left-handed use, scan either right-to-left or left-to-right
• Defines words within the dictionary (cross-reference) for greater clarity
• TEST MODE allows access to the dictionary to be blocked for use in exams
• Keeps a history of the last 80 words scanned for easy review by user, parent or teache
• Inclides additional information including countries, weights and measures and SMS abbreviations
